The True History of Aldopius Caledonia and the Lost Ciphers and Journals of Lewis Carroll - Volume I: The Humpty Burrow by Stephen Robbins
In the beginning of this multivolume series, Robbins establishes a multi-tiered world and moves among settings similar to Wonderland, The Wind in the Willows, Animal Farm, Victorian England and a near-contemporary setting populated by literate animals. The life of the narrator, the badger Aldopius, includes the discovery of the Carroll manuscripts, time travel, heroic adventures, and the process of becoming a story-teller in a shifting reality. In honor of the animal characters depicted in the series, all proceeds will be donated to the Beartooth Humane Alliance in Red Lodge, MT, the author’s home.
This 300-plus page 6” x 9” book includes several Victorian-style pen and ink illustrations.
