The True History of Aldopius Caledonia and the Lost Ciphers and Journals of Lewis Carroll - Book Three: Down the Severn by Stephen Robbins
Aldopius Caledonia continues the narrative of his life in this multi-volume continuing series in Book Three: Down the Severn, as the river thug Blackie LaRonge badger-naps him and flees the village of Droitwich. Aldopius becomes deathly ill. Blackie takes Aldopius to Thug Island, to meet up with Captain Clancy Bill Gruffie. The thugs and Aldopius float into more trouble on the River Severn. As the narrator’s misadventures continue, he wonders whether he is a captive or an apprentice, and Robbins weaves fictional passages from Lewis Carroll’s missing journals and correspondence into the mix of parables and time-travel. In recognition of the animal characters and narrator of the series, all proceeds from this volume will be donated to the Beartooth Humane Alliance in Red Lodge, MT.
This 6” x 9” perfect-bound book of 250 pages includes pen and ink illustrations and maps by Mark A. Dela Cruz to help readers navigate the environs of Droitwich. $25 per copy shipping included.
