There are Gods Here Too: Readings of Heraclitus by Michael Kincaid
New Translations of the ancient texts.
It has been said that great books deserve new translations for each new literary generation. With There Are Gods Here Too: Readings of Heraclitus, poet Michael Kincaid has done just that for contemporary readers of this ancient text. Kincaid provides an introduction to these gatherings and the values informing his choices in making this text. The book has 60 pages of translation, five pages of notes on textual complexities, and closes with a “Horizon Speech” of 18 short sections (each one page or less in length) of Kincaid’s commentary on the intellectual and literary implications of Heraclitus.
